Shooting Flames

I hesitate to even write about Steven's awesomeness.  Somehow writing about his last 5k seems to lessen my own accomplishment, but I'm woman enough to realize I will never run as fast as my husband.  At least not in this life.  I have asked God to give me the the capabilities to beat Steven at anything physical in Heaven.  Like wrestling.  For once I would l-o-v-e to pin him the floor until he screams, "UNCLE!!!!"  You think I'm kidding.

Regardless of the smack down Steven's gonna experience in Heaven, I have to hand it to him on his last race.  That man had flames shooting out his feet.  He ran the Rooster Day Run in 21:38.  Yes, that puts my 28:16 to shame.  I was so proud of him.  He placed 4th in his age group and was the 15th person to cross the finish line.  Not that he's a male chauvinist, but not one woman beat him.  He made sure of that.  Again, not a chauvinist at all, right?

Here he is crossing the finish line in all his 15th place glory...

He makes me proud.

By the way, do you see that girl in the background checking out my husband?  She needs to step off!  He's taken.  I kid.  I kid.  Or do I?
