The Weather Outside is...AWESOME!

We have been spoiled by two beautiful days. It was so nice to play outside again. Mason's been a little cheated with his outside time because it's been too cold to take Little Miss out. Once the nice weather hit we took full advantage of it. Mason had really missed his 4-wheeler (You'll have to excuse his '80's Brat Pack' hair. Steven used the blow dryer the night before and I didn't feel the need to fix it).

Even Addie enjoyed napping outside while Mase and I played. I think she was dreaming about a day without her brother poking her in the eye...keep dreamin' sister!

Just a few bath time shots...

Now, I know some of you are anxiously awaiting our Christmas photos (insert sarcasm here), but you'll have to wait. Rene and Lindsay bought this new fancy-smancy camera and all the pics are on there. Some of you might even be interested to know that we will be opening the Torres & Torres Modeling Co. Our portfolio pics will be available shortly. So check back soon to see them all!

2 Months and 2 Long in the Crib

Addison Elisabeth @ 2 months
Weight 10lbs
Length 21 3/4 inches
Mommy wishes she would sleep longer at night, but she is oh so cute!
Addison and Mommy ready for church.
The best part of having a girl...the BIG bows!

Now a little of Mason...
Last weekend I was desperate to finish wrapping the gifts and both kids were sleeping. I was almost finished when I heard Mason start calling my name to come get him (he's still in his crib, and I plan to keep it that way until he crawls out...or until he's 5 j/k). I went ahead and finished and then went to get him. He must have been extremely bored because this is what he looked like once I got him out.
We have been working on how to get dressed and undressed. He must have thought it was as good of time as any to practice.

New Style...

Mason wore these for most of the day. I think a future at Shoguns is in his very near future.

Bye-Bye 20's...Hello 30's

It's true! The Torres boys are 30. We had a small shindig for them on Sunday (thrown together last minute) that turned out out to not be so small. Lindsay's family+my family+Torres family=40 peeps. Thank goodness I didn't offer up my tiny house to host the PARTAY!
Neither Steven or Rene wanted a true party because they said they were too old, so below you can see how excited they were to have their picture taken with their cakes. I laugh because neither one knew what face the other was making and this is what we got...I guess that's why they call them twins...
Here's the 'You'd better put on a happy face for your wife' picture.
Much better I might say!
In all seriousness, I have spent 11 years with the love of my life (that would be Steven, but I do love Rene too!) and I can honestly say that he has grown into a great, great man. The 30's should serve him well! Happy 30th Birthday!

Some Good Sleepin'

You know you slept well when you wake up with hair like these two monkeys. I wish you could see the other side of Mason's hair. The pillow monster definitely attacked him. His hair was sticking straight out from his head. Something the water bottle could only cure.

Thanksgiving Part II

I thought I'd get this post up before it's been a complete week since Thanksgiving. Seriously, I've been in a turkey induced coma from 4 Thanksgivings. On Friday, Steven and I loaded up the kids to head to my Dad's house and then to my grandparents. We had a great time at both places however, I did get a nice 'schooling' in the area of Mason and Sleeping. Mason has NEVER been a kid who sleeps in his car seat. In fact, until he was forward facing he would scream his head off anytime we went somewhere. He's a much, much better passenger now, but he still doesn't sleep. SO...I don't know why Steven and I thought it would be wise to skip his nap and let him sleep in the car. We figured he'd be so tired he'd knock out. NOPE! Not only did we do this on the way there, but the way back we did the same thing. I have one word for our decision...IDIOTIC! Anyway, he did great on the trip but boy was he a mess when we arrived at our destinations. In a few months we will head to Indiana and Steven said we should travel at night so the kids will sleep. I asked if he was crazy.

Addie with my Dad.

Mason monkey'ing around with his Cousin J.

My dad lives at the lake and right out the window is a really nice view. Mason decided to get in touch with his naturalistic side while we were there.

At my Grandparent's house they have this electric sweeper thing. Mason has such a love affair with this thing. He seriously runs it all over the house. Where can I get one????
Steven taking a siesta with his daughter.
(Notice his choice of reading before snoozing off...hee hee)
4 Generations with the blanket my grandma pieced together. It's tradition in our family that each newborn baby gets a blanket. The white squares are embroidered by all the women in the family. Addie's turned out beautiful!
My grandma still has the touch!
