A long time ago our church did a video clip of a family who wrote scriptures on the frame of their house while it was being built. Steven and I decided when it came time for us to build a home, we wanted to do the same thing. We poured over many different scriptures, and found the right fits for each room. It's hard to pick my absolute favorite, but one of the most powerful scriptures that offers protection over our home is Psalm 91:5-7. It says:
"You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you."
This scripture is more powerful than any alarm system we could ever install in our home. Speaking, praying, and believing God's Word is the best protection you could ever offer your family. No matter where we are, no matter what comes our way, we will stand on God's Word and not waiver. It has never failed us, and will never fail us. Never.

My sister and Steven did the same thing when they were building their home. Its a great idea.
